I was telling Leasa how I thought Jess has a very good voice when she sings along to songs in the car, she agree and got her into choir. I asked Jess if she liked it and her response was, "I guess, but I thought we'd be singing fun stuff about Santa and candy..." This was at her concert, she is below the girl who apparently just saw Marley's ghost come through the door.
Ah, Christmas morning, we should begin with some dog pics. Max has two friends over for a few days. This is Beckham.

So, Jessica is into Monster High dolls....sort of classic movie monsters mixed with high school drama. She wanted the Draculara doll BADLY. Nowhere to be found, not even on Amazon unless you wanted to pay $40. I happened to see in a catalog flyer for a local department store, Zellers. I told Leasa, no way they will have them but let's give it a shot, the flyer just came out yesterday. We find not only the Dracula girl, but Franky Stein, the Wolfman and Creature from the Black Lagoon versions too, all on sale. So we got all four and that was her present. We've been telling her we couldn't find them and I knew nobody in town had them either, so we pretty much had her convinced she probably wouldn't even get the one doll, let alone 4, even though they were sitting under the tree for the past month. She said she was so happy she couldn't speak.
After some probing questions for Hannah we determined she was getting past toys for Christmas (although she and Jess were off to the bedroom to play with the MH dolls instantly and she already laid claim to the Wolf doll during play sessions) but not ready for clothes. So we got her a small video cam that is built for rougher use and is weather resistant. And, the kicker, it had a sticker on the camera for YouTube. I told her she could take that off, "No, I want to show everyone I can put video on YouTube!"
They were very happy with the other stuff too, the clay modeling kits from the folks, the books and stuff from Ginny and Wes (holding off on the paints, we planned on giving that last night but didn't come together, will be good for a snowy day) You can see some of Tammy's ornaments on the tree, they loved all that stuff, too. Thank you notes/letters are coming, I promise, for the summer stuff too.
Leasa got us all these booties. Great for a quick run out with the dogs or to warm the toes when it's 60 in the house when we wake up. Apparently, Max gave Leasa her booties, said so on the wrapping.
Leasa works with a lot of tech geeks in her job, and being a Star Trek geek like me, I knew she'd like this Enterprise model to display in her office. At the moment, it's part of the Christmas Village...
We just had a lunch of leftover turkey from last night (an actual turkey this time) and now, for some of these....MERRY CHRISTMAS!
